That picture there… that’s my serious face for when I’m about to get on my soap box and drop truth bombs. Buckle up. It’s about to get rough up in here for today’s Positive Vibes because sometimes you have to hurt people’s feelings to spread real and long lasting postivity.
Yesterday I put up a snarky little post about Southern Charm. In case you missed it:
Them: where are you from?
Me: Charleston, South Carolina
Them: oh, do you know the Southern Charm crew?
Every. Single. Time. 🤮
I have to tell you… I absolutely hate reality TV. But what I hate even more is when people talk about how their life sucks or how they don’t have what they want or how they can’t do big things AND they watch reality TV.
Think about it, folks. Instead of living their lives to the fullest people are sitting in front of a TV and watching other people live… people who cause as much drama as they can. These attention whores purposefully spread negativity and then have little girls and douche canoe guys want to be just like them. It’s pitiful. And sad.
This might offend you if you’re one of them, but I’m going to give it to you straight. I think you are less of a person if you are obsessed with reality TV. I don’t mean inherently as in you should be treated like less of a person. I mean that you are less because you could be more. It’s simple math. Five is less than ten and your life resume has five fewer awesome experiences because you are watching other people experience life. You could be improving yourself, your family or your community. You could be making more money to travel to see amazing things. Instead you are just improving the ego and the financial status of the worst of America.
There are a few reality television shows that spread good, but the super majority of them doing nothing but put negativity into your soul. Is that really how you want to live?
I truly believe with all my heart that America took a turn for the worse when reality TV entered our lives. It changed how we all act and more importantly, how we talk to each other. It normalized drama and negativity.
I have a challenge for you. Turn off of the reality television shows tonight and use that time improving yourself and filling your heart with positivity instead of drama.
LIVE YOUR LIFE INSTEAD OF WATCHING OTHER PEOPLE LIVE THEIRS!
Add experiences to your life resume. That’s how you find all the Positive Vibes this world has to offer.
Turn off the TV and have a phenomenal day full of Positive Vibes.
