I’ll never forget the first time Stop Soldier Suicide came into the Push Digital office in the Summer of 2018. Initial onboarding meetings with clients typically go the same. But this meeting was different. In this meeting we listened. We listened and we learned. We listened to Stop Soldier Suicide’s co-founder and former Army Ranger tell us about all those close to him that have taken their own lives. We learned that 20 service members and veterans a day take their own life.
Every single day.
That’s a lost soldier, airman, marine, or a veteran – every 72 minutes.
I remember thinking at that moment – “I want Push Digital to take on this project, and I want to lead it.”
This was unlike any other project Push Digital had worked on before. Navigating a topic as sensitive as soldier and veteran suicide is no easy task, but remembering the impact that Stop Soldier Suicide is having on the lives of our service members and their families, and our veterans makes it worth it.
Since beginning our partnership in July of 2018, we have been able to help Stop Soldier Suicide achieve goals that have surprised even us – month after month.
What Stop Soldier Suicide Does: As the nation’s first veteran-founded-and-led 501(c)3 nonprofit, Stop Soldier Suicide helps active duty members, veterans, and their fmailies navigate the maze of the thousands of resources available to them.
Their Mission/Goals: To see a day where veterans and active duty service members are at no greater risk of suicide than their peers who have not served. Their digital goals were to increase brand awareness and build a community of supporters to aid their mission.
Push’s Strategy: Create engaging and emotional digital content that would help build Stop Soldier Suicide’s audience and get the word out about the work Stop Soldier Suicide is doing.
Check out some of the awesome video projects we’ve pulled off for Stop Soldier Suicide. If they don’t spark some sort of motivation to help or desire to get involved, you’re simply not human.
