Your Daily Positive Vibes:
The whole Frothy debacle a few months back did not happen because I said something crazy or “offensive.” It happened because we now live in a time when everyone wants to silence the opposition , especially public figures, with threats of embarrassment and boycotts. That doesn’t mean the debacle wasn’t my fault. It was.
Truth be told, I’m a phenomenal public relations and campaign strategist – one of the best in South Carolina and in this country. Yet for some stupid reason I ignored the advice I give my clients. Now I give that advice to you because it’s one of the best things you can do to avoid negativity and to find so many more Positive Vibes in your day.
Here it is – stop getting sucked into social media arguments.
I’m not saying to let the opposition scare you into silence. I’m saying that you should speak up on issues important to you. You should be yourself.
However, our social feeds are full of hundreds of opportunities for fights every day and I see so many friends getting sucked in. Hell, that was me for a long time. I fixed that problem and then somehow I fell right back into it earlier this year.
Facebook and especially Twitter give you all the opportunities you need to fight, make enemies, be put in a bad mood, ruin your day and sometimes even ruin your life. Why is making your point worth all that? Trust me, it’s not. Ignore the social BS, move on, smile at your success in not engaging and let your heart be full of Positive Vibes.
Oh, and let your voice be heard, debate with your polite friends and ignore the those who can’t debate without being a jerk. Stand up for your beliefs. You can do that without engaging in every fight.
I hope your Tuesday is the best Tuesday ever and full of nothing but Positive Vibes!
