Politicians tell us to move forward.

But forward is subjective. It depends on the direction we’re facing. Forward to you may be backward to me.

If we stand back to back and we both walk forward, we will end up further apart.

We will view the world completely different. If I face the sea and you face the dunes, I will see the world as wet and you will see the world as dry.

To move anything forward, a relationship, a home, a business or a country, everyone involved must first face the same direction. We must see the same world. Then we can agree on forward.
