Three years ago the cancel culture mob came for me. I never apologized publicly. I didn’t owe the Twitteratti an apology. They weren’t really hurt.
They were just looking for someone to punish.
However, I did apologize to my various staffs, some individual teammates and my family for causing a public relations crisis.
Why?
Leaders do not have the luxury of running their mouths on social media. Leaders do not just speak for themselves. Leaders speak for those they lead, including their staff and their families. A leader must solve problems, not create them.
The more problems a leader creates the less people they will lead.
